‘Very drinkable’ Skinny Lager takes the podium

Skinny Brands, makers of innovative, low-calorie alcoholic drinks, have won Silver for their Skinny Lager in the ‘Best Products from a Start-Up’ category at the FreeFrom Awards. The great tasting lager, containing only 89 calories per bottle at 4% ABV, was praised for ‘Amazing quality, well done to the producer… Very drinkable.’

Gary Conway, Director and Co-Founder of Skinny Brands, commented:

“We are delighted to have won a Silver award at the FreeFrom Awards. We pride ourselves on the quality and inclusivity of our products and believe the award win reflects our efforts.

“Our full-flavour Skinny Lager appeals to a wide variety of consumers looking to drink differently. We have a genuine passion and desire to meet consumer demand when it comes to low-calorie alcohol, without compromising on taste.”

Michelle Berriedale-Johnson, director of the awards, added:

“We had fantastic entries this year – a wider range of products – with so many gluten free beers that we had to schedule multiple judging sessions! And not only excellent products – but SO many of them free of multiple allergens. Again, this year our NO TOP 14 allergens category had one of the largest entries. FreeFrom is most definitely still moving onward and upward in every way.”

Skinny Brands Lager is 89 calories per bottle and has a crisp, clean and refreshingly malty taste. Already available in store and online at Tesco and Asda, as well as Morrisons online, consumers can pick up 4pk, 10pk and 12pk in supermarkets, and can enjoy it in some of the UK’s best pubs, bars and restaurants.
